Prosthetics
At the PeriDent Center for Dentistry and Periodontology, we offer comprehensive prosthetic treatment, from restoring a single tooth to complex prosthetic restorations based on natural teeth or implants
What is prosthetics?
Dental prosthetics is a branch of dentistry that focuses on restoring the structure and function of teeth and improving their appearance. Its goal is to restore the patient’s natural smile and ability to chew and speak properly.
We use a 3D dental scanner, which creates a virtual image of the patient’s mouth on a computer screen in just a few seconds. Based on this scan—an accurate digital impression—we can analyze the oral condition and plan complex treatment with much greater precision. This device is extremely accurate, ensuring that prosthetic restorations are highly precise. The scanning process eliminates the need for traditional dental impressions, improving patient comfort.
Full Ceramic Veneer – A great option for correcting the shape and color of a tooth and eliminating aesthetic imperfections.
Dental Crown – Mounted on a single tooth, made of metal or zirconia (white), with porcelain applied on top. The crown’s color is always customized to match the patient’s tooth.
Dental Bridge – Typically made on at least two teeth acting as supports. Like crowns, the bridge is made with a metal or zirconia base, and porcelain is applied in a custom color.
Inlays, Onlays, Overlays – Used to restore large cavities in the tooth’s crown. These are made from composite material or porcelain.
Prosthetic Appliances on Implants – Performed after the process of osteointegration, i.e., the healing of the implant in the bone. Implants can replace a single tooth, multiple teeth, or even full edentulism. The prosthetic solutions based on implants include crowns, bridges, or dentures. These restorations do not burden neighboring teeth.
Partial and Full Removable Dentures – Made of various materials such as acrylic, acetal, or metal, these dentures are not permanently attached to the teeth and are used when the natural teeth are too weak or too few to support a permanent restoration.
