Dental Procedures Performed Using Lasers
At the PeriDent Center for Dentistry and Periodontology, we perform the following dental procedures with the use of lasers:
– Gum correction and plastic surgery (gingivectomy, gingivoplasty) – Removal of lesions from the oral mucosa (e.g., fibromas, tissue hypertrophy, pregnancy granulomas, hemangiomas) – Preparing the prosthetic field before taking impressions – Frenectomy (correction of frenulum)
– Disinfection of periodontal pockets – Treatment of infections around implants (periimplantitis) – Treatment of selected oral mucosa diseases, including herpes, aphthous ulcers – Hemostasis (stopping bleeding, often eliminating the need for sutures)
– Disinfection of infected root canals during pulpitis or periapical tissue inflammation – Treatment of tooth sensitivity – Supportive treatment of deep caries – Biostimulation of tissues (reducing pain and accelerating wound healing)
