Implantology
At the PeriDent Center for Dentistry and Periodontology, we perform all procedures within the scope of implant surgery, including bone regeneration before implant treatment, sinus lift, bone grafting, bone restoration after tooth extraction, and regenerative procedures using platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
What is implantology?
Implantology is a modern and proven method of treatment that involves restoring missing teeth using titanium implants. Various prosthetic works are performed on these implants, including crowns, bridges, and implant-supported dentures. These prosthetics solutions are independent constructions that do not affect neighboring healthy teeth.
Implant treatment can be divided into three stages:
This stage involves evaluating the anatomical conditions of the treatment site and conducting a precise analysis of X-ray images. This helps plan the exact position of the implant to ensure proper placement of the future dental crown.
During the procedure, the implant is placed into the jawbone. Depending on the anatomical conditions and aesthetic requirements, additional surgical procedures, such as sinus floor lift, may be necessary. After the implantation, the patient receives detailed postoperative instructions. Sutures are removed 7-10 days after the procedure. The process of osteointegration, or the permanent bonding of the implant with the bone, typically takes 4-8 months.
In this phase, the planned prosthetic work is made based on the implanted devices. Implants can restore a single tooth, several missing teeth, or even full edentulism. Prosthetic solutions based on implants include crowns, bridges, or dentures. These prosthetic appliances are the only solution in dentistry that does not burden neighboring teeth and must be cleaned and maintained as carefully as natural teeth. Periodic check-ups at the dentist are necessary.
